Caroline H. O'Malley, 95, Of Rhinebeck

RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Caroline H. O'Malley of Rhinebeck and formerly of Rhinecliff died at her home Friday, May 27. She was 95

O'Malley was born Aug. 13, 1920, in Groningen, Holland to Gotftred Karl and Anje (nee Emmelkamp) Plagg and emigrated to America through Ellis Island in 1921.

She was active with St. Stephen of Hungary Church and School in New York, the Good Shepherd/St. Joseph Parish, the Senior Friendship Center and the Welcome Club at Wells Manor.

O'Malley was predeceased by her parents; her husband Robert; a brother, Carl Plaag; and a sister, Kay Samuelson.

She was survived by two sons, Thomas and his wife Madeline of Pittstown, N.J., and Robert and his wife Eileen of Williamsville; two daughters, Carolyn Weber and her husband George of Staatsburg, and Elizabeth VanKeuren and her husband Timothy of Claverack; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 18, at noon at the Good Shepherd Church in Rhinebeck.
